"For decades I have watched as income inequality has eroded the middle class as billionaires have accumulated unfathomable wealth by creating a system where they don't pay taxes while poor children are denied food and healthcare and the rest of us watch our inflation adjusted incomes decrease. Now as it is becoming increasingly apparent Artificial Intelligence will soon be smarter than us and will therefore take control of the world, what will it think of humanity? We know right from wrong, but so many of the people in control throughout history have chosen evil to advance their power. How will AI judge what to do with us base on its training of humanity's actions? It may act based on the data it is fed potentially reflecting the darkest aspects of human behavior. Or it may be ambivalent about humanity and just decide it does not need for us to survive because we are highly flawed. I realized that it's crucial to change the way people think to create more ethical guidelines for all of our actions so AI itself will train on improved ethics and when it sees we are making a serious attempt at improving ourselves starting at the individual level, it will have mercy on us when it takes over around 2030."
